Georgian soprano Madina Karbeli graduated from Tbilisi State Conservatory and Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (2011). Her operatic debut she made already in Georgia as Rosina/ Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Norina/ Don Pasquale. During her studies in Vienna she made her debut as Clorinda/ La Cenerentola, Pamina/ Die Zauberfloete, Gretel in Gretel/ Haenseal und Gretel and the title role in Die Kluge.

 

In 2011 she made her debut at the Gars am Kamp festival as Frasquita/ Carmen, followed by the role of Gilda in Rigoletto. In the years of 2012-2013 she became soloist for Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Vienna and performed numerous concerts. In 2013 she was awarded Premio Equivoci Musicali at the International Competition Equivoci. As a prize she performed Christmas Concert - Mozart in Milan in Palazzo Reale in Milan. In 2014 Madina Karbeli made her Italian operatic debut in the Teatro Verdi di Pisa with the role of Antonia in Offenbach's Les Contes D'Hoffmann, which was followed by debuts in Teatro Goldoni Livorno, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca and Teatro Coccia in Novara; 2015 she made her Maltese debut as Adina in L'Elisir D'Amore in Valetta (Teatru Manoel), followed by Carmen production in Teatru Aurora, Gozo.

 

In May, 2015 Madina has won the first prize at the International Competition Marcella Pobbe. In summer 2015 Madina has debuted at the innauguration of the Arena di Verona festival as Anna in the historic production of Nabucco. Also covering the role of Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Since then, Madina Karbeli was part of many productions in Verona, in Arena as well es Teatro Filarmonico, singing and covering some main and secondary roles in the productions of La Sonnambula, Norma, Nabucco, Carmen.

 

In 2018 she debuted as Salome, Strauss at the Teatro Filarmonico of Verona. Her success was highly acclaimed by the public and the press. for the upcoming season she was reinvited in Verona as Mimi in La Boheme and Adriana in Adriana Lecouvreur.
